New Union Township Recycling Program

In an effort to simplify and increase participation of recycling within our Township, there are two important changes that have been implemented to the program at the recycling depot behind the Municipal Building on Perryville Road.

(1) It will no longer be necessary to separate materials – all colors of glass, aluminum, tin, #1 thru #7 plastics, junk mail, newspapers, magazines and cardboard can all be combined in the same container.   Newspapers should be bundled when possible and cardboard should be broken down.  Household batteries must still be separated.

(2) As of November 1, 2008, the Recycling Depot will be open EVERY Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the exception of holiday weekends and inclement weather. 

• Please note that these changes do not affect the Union Township bulk dumpster behind the Historical Building on Main Street, which will continue its current schedule of the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month.
